Cost Analyst

Responsibilities:

Supports the Finance function with extensive analysis of inventory, manufacturing variances, internal controls and standard costs. Accurately measures, analyzes and communicates plant performance to all levels of division and plant management teams. Publishes monthly operating reports to plant, division, and corporate management. Maintains required financial processing in ERP system. Assists Cost Manager in preparation of yearly plant budget and costing of products/processes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform financial close activities, updating general ledger, and analysis of manufacturing variances and reporting of results to facility on an ongoing basis.
  • Support the monthly financial forecasting process
  • Review and analyze inventory, support cycle count program.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual operating budget for the facility.
  • Assist compiling Cost Improvement Programs, Team Goals, and Monthly Forecasts.
  • Act as primary liaison to the Manufacturing Teams in fulfilling information and educational needs and providing assistance to meeting the Teams goals.
  • Maintain all financial data in ERP system, review and audit input, and initiate corrective action where necessary.
  • Support the business in product cost estimates and financial impact of Engineering changes
  • Bring to attention of Cost Manager issues surrounding internal controls, key processes and profitability.
  • Compile and manage Capital Asset requests and month end Fixed Asset and depreciation reconciliations.
  • Perform labor reconciliations and labor rate analysis
  • Support team on various balance sheet accounts
  • Perform various projects and ad hoc reporting as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Access and Word.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems. JD Edwards and Hyperion a plus.
  • Must be willing to relocate for a growth opportunity within the Finance organization

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

Background in lean manufacturing/six sigma a plus

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA/CMA/MBA a plus.
  • 1+ years experience in manufacturing cost

Physical Demands

Work permits employee to remain seated with some fatiguing posture. Occasional lifting between 1-5 lbs.

Work Environment

Physical surroundings are pleasant and comfortable, with little or no exposure to injury or other health hazards

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
