The Service Porter/Greeter plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency within the dealership's service department.
This individual is responsible for warmly greeting guests, assisting with their needs, supporting the service team with various tasks, and ensuring the overall smooth operation of the service area.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Greet Guests:
Welcome customers as they arrive at the dealership's service area, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact.
2.
Direct Customers:
Direct guests to the appropriate service advisor or team member, ensuring seamless transition and efficient service initiation.
3.
Run Errands:
Perform small errands to procure and distribute dealership supplies as needed, ensuring that all departments have necessary resources for smooth operations.
4.
Road Test Vehicles:
Conduct road tests on vehicles scheduled for service, ensuring that they meet quality standards and are ready for delivery back to customers.
5.
Quality Check:
Perform thorough quality checks on serviced vehicles to ensure they are clean, fully operational, and meet dealership standards before delivery to customers.
6.
Maintenance Duties:
Assist with small maintenance tasks around the dealership premises to uphold a clean, organized, and safe environment for customers and employees.
7.
Pickup Parts:
Occasionally pick up parts from suppliers or other locations to fulfill service department needs, ensuring timely delivery to support repair and maintenance operations.
8.
Shuttle Service:
Provide shuttle service for customers, transporting them to and from designated locations while their vehicles are being serviced, ensuring a convenient and positive customer experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.
